News Important Update: New Developments and Price Adjustment for Events Manager 1.2

We've been working hard on Events Manager 1.2.0 since January 2nd. We've put in a lot of hours adding cool new features and making sure everything works great.

Note: The above is a list for version 1.2.0 only; there might be additional small feature updates in the 1.2.x series.

We know you expect a lot from Events Manager, and we're doing our best to meet those expectations. But creating great stuff takes time, and as you know, time is money. If you want new features, we might need a little extra funding to make them happen.

Right now, there are just two of us running XenCustomize.com. One of us handles the development and support, and the other takes care of everything else, including private support tickets.

For the past six months, we've been supporting 8 paid add-ons and we've got plans for more! But as a small team with a limited number of customers, we need your support to keep going. Our sales aren't sufficient to cover all the costs of creating and continuously improving our top-notch add-ons.

We started off selling Events Manager for $45. But since then, the cost of developing it has gone up. So, we need to increase the price to at least $65. It's still a great deal, but this small increase will provide some help. If you already own Events Manager license, we're asking for a little extra to help cover these new costs.

Development update:​

We have made a few adjustments to the plan for the 1.2.0 release, as a significant amount of time was devoted to rewriting certain functionalities to address time zone-related issues. The development of Event Reviews/Feedback is still in its early stages, and we require additional time to complete it.

We do not wish to delay the release of features and critical fixes that have already been completed. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the inclusion of Event Reviews/Feedback to a future release.

That wraps up the 1.2 series. We've devoted a lot of time to developing additional new features for the Events Manager. Following the release of 1.2, our focus will shift primarily to maintenance for a while, as we also need to update our other add-ons. There are pending developments for the Profile Audio Player & Library and many other add-ons, so we'll be directing our development efforts there next.

Edit: Events Manager 1.2.0 Released

The new price for this version will be $65. To our customers who previously purchased it for $45, we're offering the option to contribute an additional $20 to support our development efforts (click here to upgrade). While this additional payment is not mandatory and you will still receive the update regardless, it greatly helps us cover the extensive development costs of version 1.2.0. Your support is deeply appreciated, but please know that it's okay if you choose not to contribute the extra amount.

What's Next?​

• Update on Event Reviews Feature and Future Plans: If you've been keeping up with our development updates, you're aware that we've been working on the Event Reviews feature. We decided to postpone it to prioritize the early release of v1.2. Now, we'll be picking up where we left off and aiming to include it in version 1.3.0 (no additional price).
  
  
• Focus Shift to Maintenance and Other Add-ons: Following the release of 1.2, our focus will shift primarily to maintenance for a while, as we also need to update our other add-ons. There are pending developments for the Profile Audio Player & Library and other add-ons, so we'll be directing our development efforts there next.
  
  
• Policy on Implementing User Suggestions: Since our initial release, we've dedicated considerable time to implementing user suggestions. We now consider the Events Manager to be feature-complete, in line with our goals for the product. Going forward, any new suggestions will require additional funding and will be added to the final product only if we choose to include them.
